You might wonder why there is water across the road even during the dry season.  Our local neighbors have piled rocks to partially block the stream and maintain a water depth of 4 to 6 inches across the road year round.  They use the resulting “road pond” as a convenient place to water their cattle and horses, and also to use as a car wash.  It’s not uncommon to see a car parked in the middle of the water, with the driver using a sponge and bucket to clean the road dust off their car. This drive-through car wash is freely available to the public, so why not throw a bucket and sponge in your car trunk on the way to church on Sunday? Pura Vida!

On a more serious note,  there are times during the rainy season when it is inadvisable to drive through the water.  At such times we will post signs and/or station someone to warn of the danger and advise of an alternate meeting location.  If you are unsure about the weather, check our Facebook page for the latest information.
